6weeks in sert. increase. anxiety panic

Been on 50mg 6weeks 2days. I felt kind of a numb nothing with some days feeling normal but come week 4 I got worse and it went on and on till now when I'm so anxious I'm scared to death in total panic all day long !!! Upped to 75mg but I'm worried the tablets make me worse. I was better till week 4 though sad I'm hoping it just was not strong enough at 50mg. My doctor thinks if the anxiety was caused my the meds it would of happened early on not 4weeks in . any advise. Is the increase the right thing or should I call it a fail seen as I'm a wreck !

hi rachel when i first started sertraline i also felt spaced out and at times anxious etc but i stayed with it. the only thing i would say is my dr at one point decreased to 100 and i my body didnt like it so i was put back to 200. a couple of times i did ask for it to be increased but he said no. im on 100 for 7 days and then 50 for 7 days after that i start my new ones i have0to be honest im scared of side effects and how i will react to them. the brand im going on is venlafaxine a new one.

i would also say what works for some dosent mean it works for everyone. note everything down and go back to your gp and explain that you dont feel better and the meds are not agreeing with you. one i would definately not take is citpramol (sorry about spelling ). and you know your own body.
