i used to sleep 12 hours a night, with going to bed at around 10pm and waking at around 10am sometimes 11am. That changed around october november 2019, with me starting to go sleep anwhere between 4-7am and waking at around 10am, not getting tired again untill 4-7am the next morning. i did all the usual things to try to burn energy and tire myself out, i had relaxing baths with lavender bubbles, i made sure not to be on tech for an hour before bed, i tried going for very long walks but nothing. i decided to call my dr and explained the above to her, she prescribed me 7.5mg zopiclone to be taken and hour before i want to sleep, i have taken them for 4 days all at 11pm and im still awake by 6am, can anyone offerand explination as to why they arent working even with continuing all the above aswell?

Hi, i used to have the same problem as yourself, i found that any kind of medication of 10mg or less, wether is pain relief or sleeping tablets, they wouldn't work for me, my gp told me sometime ago that when your body doesn't respond to any kind of medication at the dose of 10mg or leof 10mg or less, your body needs a much stronger dose of sleeping meds, i had to go onto Clomethiazole 192mg tablets and i take two of those no more than three nights, i suggest you go and see your gp and see if they will give you some Clomethiazole 192mg sleeping tablets as i recommend that its to do with your body, it is resistant to any kind of medication, speak to your gp and get it sorted out.

my drs have told me to stop taking them as they think that my problem is more likely linked to possible autism as it runs in my family and now want to send me for a test to be done. thank you for your input though 😃

Try drinking a glass of hot adult formula milk 1 hour before sleep. It might help. If you could drink 2 glasses a day but space it out or you end up going to the toilet middle of the night.
Google how digital devices have blue light which disrupt sleep. Try install apps like twilight to switch your phone to block blue light and see if it helps. You could also try not to look at digital devices 1 to 2 hours before bed. It does disrupt your sleep. You might want to try getting a pair of block blue light glasses and wear it few hours before sleep. It will help.
Soak your feet in a small basin before bed in slightly hot water. It helps too.
