just went to skin specialist, she said this is not scabies (did not perform test on me).

normally scabies bites are not itchy during day time but extremely itchy during night time, is that so?

It does look like scabies.  Looks like the rash my cousin had.  The doctors told him it wasn't scabies and after seeing 4 doctors for another opinion, the last one decided to go ahead and treat with permethrin cream to see.  Dr said if it's scabies, it will start healing immediately and if not, then it's something else.  His rash went away immediately, each day got better.  However, he treated a second time a week later and the rash is completely gone.  He did continue to itch a couple of weeks, but the doctor prescribed a steroid cream for the itchiness.  And mind you, all his skin biopsies came back negative too, these doctors have no clue because they don't see this everyday.  It would not hurt to try the cream and see.  Have you traveled recently, stayed in hotels or work with children or the elderly within the last 1 - 3 months.  If so, you may have gotten it from that.

Sorry, I mean have you traveled prior to your rash?  I see you had this for 7 months now.  You can get this from hotels, that is how my cousin got it.  You can also pick it up from daycares, hospitals or nursing homes.

      Thanks for your inputs Mariehorn,

Actually my wife got it first (yes we suspect she got it from hotel almost 1 year ago in Folsom, US).. we slept on the same bed (she back to Asia, we are from South East Asia) & i got it too. we did applied multiple bottles of pemethrin 5% & the symptom came back for me but not my wife.

I am currently on Steroids, will try salt bath as well... will keep you guys posted

OK, did many rounds of salt bath, it still come & goes.... now i am no longer using soap to bath, using QV wash & lotion... it somehow under control but still not fully recover.. it's almost 10 months since i have this symptom now... My wife continue not to have new symptom...  i started to believe this not really scabies... but still looking for new clues what it could be, maybe allergy ...  any inputs are welcomed.. Thanks

i currently have scabbies and am recovering from them. i can take 1 look at your bumps and tell you 100% NO those are not scabbies bites. Scabbies burrow inside your skin and leave a red trail conecting from 1 pimple looking red dot to the next

also the areas that are affected on your body are not places that scabies like to attack, they are picky about where on the human body they like to make their home.
