7 months Sertraline

Been on sert for coming up to 7 months which is a long time with minimal benefit if any 50 for 10 weeks 100 for 10 weeks and almost 6 weeks on 150 now,been on every forum i think and varying advice from increase again?to stay on dose for minimum of 12 weeks to hit therapeutic dose etc i am so confused even the doctor just lets me decide what to do do i stay where i am and wait for the magic to happen bin waiting 7 Months almost,switch meds or increase had a few calmer days this week and now once again gone backwards this is pure hell

    Lee, I would try and get to 8 weeks on 150. If not perhaps consider a different antidepressant because everybody is different. Have you had any talk therapy at all?

    l am only 8 weeks on 50, searching forums as l am having some good days but some days so difficult to cope with. My take on all of is to stay on same dose for a long time and give the drug time to work. You have my sympathy. CBT didn't work for me but l did get benefit from EFT.
