7 week on sertraline 50 mg

hi all, iv suffered with bad nerves for a while i had a bad episode middle of december , i had upped citalopram for 3 month then dr switched , sleeps better and appetite , but still feel depressed in the mornings, night times i generally feel back to normal then morning terrible again, just wondering whats peoples thoughts are on upping dose

    Hello Andrew83432, Since everyone responds differently to medicines I personally would wait it out at 50 mg until week 12. That seems to be a somewhat "average" time for the Sertraline to become steady in a person's system. What does your doctor tell you? I think some doctors tend to rush the dosage upwards in patients, probably because they want to help us get well as quick as possible. But Sertraline can't be rushed, or so that's been my experience. I send you good thoughts and prayers.

      hi neelie tbh the dr asks me what i want to do but when i was on citalopram i went up from 20mg to 30mg and it sent me crackers i had no relief from anxiety for 3 month , im seeing slight improvement just not as fast i would have hoped, mornings are terrible for about 3 hours after taking my tablet after that its not as bad
