7 Weeks on 100mg Sertraline

It's been about 7 weeks now. I'm actually doing pretty good. Had a few bad days but not like before. Those few bad days only came because of my period. Then it settles back down. I'm still battling Anxiety but nothing like before. I feel a lot stronger than before so I can battle the Anxiety and low moods. I find that if I have slept well that's when Anxiety creeps in as well. I try and keep busy on days like that rather than trying to think about it. I do make myself only relax when I can too. When I feel the horrible feeling coming I tell myself it's okay to not always feel good. I tell myself I'm a good person and have people around me who love me and I'm not alone. When I'm at work and not feeling the best, I tell them look my Anxiety isn't great today and after a while I find myself feeling okay. I try not to dwell on it anymore. I even went out for meals and a lot more socialising. I feel that I will get there. If after a few months I still feel that feeling not fully settling, I will go back to the GP. I am nearly there and feel this dose is good for me at the moment. I don't feel tired as much and mostly sleeping better. I do hypnotherapy at home and listening to relaxion music. Also I to some exercise classes and walk. Meditation has helped me when anxiety is at the highest and I'm not sleeping. We will get there. I pray and have faith. Hope you all are doing better. God bless x

Hi Anna, when I first started these meds it took a while for side affects to settle down. Mornings were the worst. You will find that after 4 weeks it will get better. If after a few months you're still feeling bad, go to the doctor.

You will get there. God bless

Hi HopeNFauth, glad your feeling better and able to cope with the down days.

I ask God everyday to give me strength and to get through anxiety caused by intrusive thoughts, it's a rough road but looking forward to feeling better which I say every day that I will.

Hi Aspinan, things will get better. Have faith in god and yourself. You're a good person and will find your way. Thoughts can be scary but you know it's part of anxiety and not you. Some days when I feel like I won't cope well, I pray and then I start remembering positive things. Stay strong. God bless
