The first 4 weeks after surgery were horrible, couldn't sit on anything hard, was very week, and had a lot of pain in my lower abdomen. Moving my bowels was painful and the pain and pressure of just sitting was very uncomfortable at times.

Now I am at 7 weeks post op and it feels like my vagina is still swollen at times, and what is really weird is I feel my vagina all the time, it just doesn't feel normal, Its like I feel as if there is something inside of me all the time.... Does anyone else have this feeling???

It's very early days for you. As long as you are feeling better week by week that's good. You have had a lot of surgery and it will take awhile. You will be aware of the surgery site for many weeks but hopefully the pain will subside and you will gradually get more comfortable. Don't overdo the first few weeks to give yourself the best chance to recover. It does get better with time. Hope you feel better soon.

You have had a lot of surgery that involves cutting the vaginal walls, then stitching back up so it will take a few months to feel you are back to normal. You may still be swollen inside .Also your vagina has been tightened and possibly you have even had stitching to the perineum. All this will feel weird at first but do some very gentle pelvic floor exercises every day and gradually you will begin to feel normal again. No lifting and have some rest with your feet up every day.

hi, I'm 7 weeks post-op & feel the same, can't sit for more than an hour on a pillow, before it's intolerable. I'm also very numb around my vagina thru my butt & down my left leg. On the inside, I think the area is trying to wake up, constant tingling, the sensation that it's swollen and pushing my insides out, I think that has added to the soreness when trying to sit. My mind is telling me to get up, I'm ready to get back to work, my normal life, but my lower half is still trying to recover. I'm very afraid of causing harm to the repair, I can't go through this again, the first 2 1/2 weeks were so painful & I couldn't walk. So I might have to prolong my recuperation period by another week or 2, I hope we both start feeling normal soon, happy holidays.
