8 days after left hip replacement and so tired

Hi all.

I am feeling so down with this lack of sleep...the restrictions are driving me crazy and I just can't sleep on my back..I have a knee wedge and last night put the wedge between my legs and moved slightly on to my side being careful that one leg didn't cross over the other , with this I did sleep a bit ...am I right that the caution about sleeping on the back is to ensure one doesn't go onto recovery position putting one leg over the other ?

Hi. It is important in early days to not cross legs so the metalwork bonds to the bone in the correct alignment.

Sleeping on your back is part of this, use a pillow between your legs to stop them crossing. I have been immobile on my back for the last 72 hours or so,day and night!
