Dear God will this ever go away? I am over - weight but have been all my life. I'm 54 and life is horrible now. Everything has come to a standstill. I don't think people really understand unless they have had it. It's a curse. Will I ever get better?

    Hi Lady jack

sorry to hear you are also suffering.

I had physio for the first time last night...I have a feeling this will not work.

I will try anything.  It is not just weight bearing but at rest it hurts.

    what does you GP say.

They just tell me to keep stretching it and one day it will go away. They don't believe in injections which is kind of okay with me because I read a lot of negativity about the injections. Right now I don't even have insurance because the registration expired for the program that I was on so I have to go and re register which I will do soon but being locked into this low income program that I am with they don't really seem to have much for me as far as plantar Fasciitis is concerned.

Hi Ladyjack.  I'm so sorry you are suffering with this.  I feel your pain!  Have you been to Physical Therapy?  Have you gotten injections of Cortisone?  Have you been in a walking boot or cast?  If you have done all of those and still have no relief you may need to ask for a surgical referral.  I have had surgery on both feet for PF. It is not an easy surgery but the outcome for me has been nothing short of a miracle!

Wow! So you are one of the lucky ones that say this surgery did work. I have not read almost any feedback about it working. But sadly the medical facility place that I am working with so far it hasn't really offer that to me. They just say one day it will go away keep stretching it. But I haven't seen a specialist either. I have to reinstate my membership with them to go and see one which I will be doing soon. This has totally changed my life and I've had to file for disability. Not just for this but I have several other issues as well and with all of them combined will keep me from ever working again. I've been appealing almost A year now and no response yet. thank God I have some wonderful people in my life you are taking care of me because I took care of them all of their lives. But still it messes with my head because I'm a very strong and independent woman. Not anymore I guess.

So....pain is still horrible and life has stopped. So my amazing husband purchased a mobility scooter. Now I can get around and do some things....thank God. I guess you find ways to keep going and I love  him for doing that but I just wish God would hurry up and let me be halfway normal again.

Update...I have an appt with the Podiatrist July 23rd so will be interesting to see what he says. I am in so much pain still. I keep reading everyone's posts just in case something comes up that might work for me. Its crazy bc this condition seems fairly common but no one really talks about it. I never heard of it until I got it! I even went to nursing school ....had only 1 and 1/2 Months left to graduate and I never learned or was taught about this.

I read your complete "blow-off" of the fact that you are overweight.. just because you always have been... but your getting older and your planter fascia maybe can't take it anymore... Losing a lot of weight would probably help your cause if you have the will. That is if you have the will... shall I repeat. See a specialist for that..nutritionist etc..

I sense your attitude thru your words and you are an argument waiting to happen. Clearly not someone that I want to talk to so how about you don't reply to me and I won't reply to you. I may be over-weight but you are really ugly...at least thru your words. Do you have the will to change that? Must be your pain making you lash out at me today. I hope you get better. I come here for support and info....given from kind people who can relate.

Sorry to hear of your plight.I have been virtually bedridden with severe, severe pain and cramping in back and pain all the way down to feet.A living Hell.No answers.Had surgery which relieved neurogenic claudication, but not back pain with radiation.Cannot shop or drive for myself,or even plan anything outside my apartment.I envy people that have a terminal disease, living in this unbelievable Hell.

      God bless you Bill. 48944....

That was months ago but how sweet of you to defend me even now. Since then I was diagnosed with COPD and had to get on Oxygen 24/7 for awhile there. I believe lack of oxygen in my tissues was an obstacle for some healing of my heel as my pulse oximeter was reading 72! My body had learned to function on very low oxygen so I never knew it until I woke up that day Sept 3rd and couldn't breath. On that day I quit smoking too after 35 years of that and have not slipped once. My heel got better during the 6 days I was in the hospital and I am so happy that now I can get around with my Crocs and a cane Slowly. Its still there....can't walk in a flat soled shoe....the heel has to be cupped so the pressure is not on the center. Keep praying for me....it's not over till I sing.....lol. ladyjack51

No I havent wendy83249 ....what is that? I know I need some circulation stimulation in that leg...even if I have to pay someone to do it. Tell me more......ladyjack51

In the foot there are pressure points for the different areas of the body, basically it is a massage of the foot that affects the entire body.if you google reflexolgy you will get information on it and locate ones close to your home, may be a bit expensive but worth it i think.

I guess I am in the wrong group. My problem is severe back pain, that goes to legs and now even arms.Probably have peripheral neuropathy.Bedridden for a year,.

Yes Bill, go back to home and you can start your own new conversation about your issue or pull up back issues, nerves, etc. This is having to with Plantar Fasciitis....extreme pain in the heel to narrow it way down. Still, thanks for being my hero. Ladyjack51
