8 weeks and reversal to bad days. help

Woke up today and couldn't raise myself from bed to go to work, felt so tired, my whole mood seems to have gone backwards, I noticed this starting to happen yesterday but told myself to remain positive it was a blip but it's a lot worse today. 10 days ago on holiday i had the same that lasted 3 days then just lifted and I was feeling good again. Sitting here anxiously a few hours later posting this and I'm not as bright as I have been. Wondering what to do next.

Hi Robert! I have been taking Sertraline for 10 weeks, and am going through the same thing! I've always had the odd day where I don't feel as good, but I've had a week now of feeling almost back to square one rolleyes! It's so hard, because feeling anxious and unmotivated is so much harder once you remember how nice it is to feel relaxed and normal! I went back to my doctor yesterday, and have been signed off work for a week. I have to go back next week and discuss either upping the dosage of Sertraline or possibly changing to a different tablet!

I hope this is just a blip and you return to positive self soon smile x

Hi Danielle, thank-you. I'm on 50mg, tried 75 and lasted a week, couldn't cope with the symptoms but maybe now that I've been on it for a longer period and it's in my system I'll be able to tolerate an increase this time. Your right, after feeling good it's a major let down to waken and find yourself on a backwards trip. I just keep trying to do things, be positive and hope I get good feelings back.

I've noticed now that I've a headache, same as I had on holiday, taken a couple of paracetamol to help that. Feels like a hangover but without the alcohol.

Hi Robert, three days after being on Zoloft I became despondent, tired, further depressed and afflicted with anxiety.  About 36 hours af stopping the medication, I am starting to feel better.  I lost my job a month ago and was depressed with some anxiety.  I turned to psychiarty for help me get over this bad patch. I cannot risk feeling worse for weeks with medication.

I also have a behavioural therapist, which I beleive will help with the long-term solution.

Hi Rachel, wish i could find the correct dose but like Danielle I am cautious about raising from 50 to 100, I suppose I'll stick at it for now and hopefully get through, I'm in to week 8, maybe it'll settle but if not I'll need to try a higher dose level. I really thought I was on the right track but now I'm not sure.

Its so hard. I was all o I'm bit better to be hit back to a crying mess of feeling hopeless and giving up. I really don't want to increase. If I do it will be 75mg not 100mg as iv had a bad time on a increase before so really scared

Same here, my doc upped me to 75 but I couldn't suffer the side effects, lasted about a week and returned to 50 but maybe now that it's well in to my system it might be okay now. I'll see what happens and if it'll settle down first then if not I'll need to reconsider.
