8 weeks and still have anxiety

Hi. I have been on sertraline coming up 8 weeks and have titrated up to 150mg. My mood, motivation, appetite have very much improved and everyone has noticed this - I couldn't get out of bed before and was a mess - however the anxiety has improved but I still feel very anxious especially in the morning on waking. My muscles tense up, I have a pit in my stomach. I can't understand why this is still happening as I have no worries.
I do feel a bit better as day goes on unless I go in a shop but I'm getting out everyday now.
Does anyone know if these feelings will go eventually? I just want to wake up relaxed like I was 4 months ago. Please help x

I am finding they (the morning jitters) are lessening. I am roughly at the same stage as you. I was non functional for almost a month, but now on the outside seem to people 99% ok
I am probably 75%!ok
In the morning I was waking up with the anxiety back. My body would clench up and by arms and legs full with adrenaline. But over last week I have more accepted it and my head has been able to say ok so what I can cope with it
This has helped and last couPle of days the morning has been less physical symptoms. May not last but I am hoping the more I just accept and give it less importance the more it goes away. Trying to train my head not to screw my body
Well that's me at the moment
Here's to being normal one day soon!! X

How long have you been on them ?
I know they are working because I am so much better than 2 months ago. People say it can take up to 12 weeks to have full effect. I increased dose 3 weeks ago and I've heard it can take 6 weeks after an increase to show any effect.
I have good and bad days but the bad aren't as bad as they were.
Hope it works for you as it's so horrible x

Hi
I have been taking 50mg for 8 weeks (and 2 days) I am unsure how much it is impacting me. But know for the first weeks before it and after taking I was a mess !
I have a friend who tried sertraline but didn't like it and went to Prozac. She is loving life on it.

Yes, this feeling will eventually go away. When you start to recover, anxiety comes and goes in waves. This is because the med hasn't completely leveled out in your system. Give it 2-3 weeks and it will be better. Take care.
