8 weeks on Venlafaxine and still anxious :(

I have GAD and have struggled with anxiety and medication for years. I was put on Venlafaxine 75mg 8 weeks. I seem to have some good days but lately the anxiety is much worse. Everyday I feel as though I have the worst hangover, aches and pains all over and chest pains.

As no other ssris have worked I am desperate for this to. Should it have worked by now? Do I need an increase or to be more patient.

Thank you for listening xx

What do you mean by hungover ?

Do you take it at night ?

Did you have this before ?

Generally it takes 150mg to help

Is it IR or ER ?

Hi Sarah, I feel sick and my body aches like I have been poisoned or something. I take ir and first thing in the morning.

One thing I forgot to mention was that I felt a bit better but the pharmacist mixed my prescription with 2 different types of venlafaxine and then once I took one I hadn't taken my symptoms worsened. After 3 days I stopped taking them and took the rest of one's I have always taken.

Hi... I also take venlafaxine and have for about 6 months, I noticed it started helping my Anxiety about 4 months in. My Anxiety isn't completely gone but it is more manageable. I hope you find peace soon.
