8 weeks post op Tendon repair, Foot numb

I am a little over 8 weeks post op after having Peroneal Tendon repair but when the surgeon got in he said my torn tendon was not repairable so he transferred another tendon to the torn tendon.

I have been in a Cam boot for about 5 weeks and am weight bearing in boot only.

My foot (right foot) is very numb still on the top and exterior side, I have no pain during the day but at night my incision site burns so bad and for one week now I am having pain in my Achilles. Is this normal? Also I complained of awful jolts of pain I get through my whole foot at night and dr prescribed neurotin but I was afraid of side affects so didn't take. I see the surgeon next week and hopefully get this boot off and start physical therapy.

Has anyone else experienced what I call restless foot syndrome at night? Also I have to wear a sock to bed because the feel of sheets or anything touching my numb foot drives me crazy.

I had tendon transfer surgery just over two weeks ago. Just got stitches out 2 days ago.I screamed like I was being murdered removing stitches. I also had heel repostioned during surgery because dr said I had high arches. If he didn't reposition the heel the tendon would just tear again. I have been on the maximum dose of nuerontin for years and had recently got off it. But, when I read about all the nerve problems everyone has here. I slowly tapered up to the maximum dose again because I did not want any more new nerve pain. I had horrible restless leg syndrome a several years ago and thank goodness for nuerontin.  I have feeling on top of foot but it is under heel that it is the least. I have a few shooting pains when I do the exercises and my incisions do burn on the outside of foot. I have tapered off the oxycontin for now. I have no idea how bad things might be with more exercise and beginning to walk again.

Happy healing, I screamed also when they took staples out of my incision site. It looks like from all the posts I read that everyone seems to have surgeons that do things so differently. I keep hoping that it will all be back to normal.

Hi... I had my tendon repaired on Nov. 9th. I felt more discomfort at night especially my foot feeling so hot... not just at incision site. I got a gel boot from Amazon. It is for hot or cold. This allowed me to fall asleep. Too, in that it is gel, it cushioned the incision site against the bed and sheets. Early on my legs would have spasms... but that has cleared up for now.
