Dear Chng David, I have peripherial neuropathy that was supposedly brought on by lymes.  I am not diabetic.  I was dx. with a nerve test.  I had the tingeling for a number of years but never sought help until I began waking up in the middle of the night with stabbing pains in my toes.  I read that in Europe they regularly treat nueropathy with r-ala which is an amino acid in addition to some sort of B1 vitamine known as benefotimin.  I do 600 mg. of each every day.  You are probably much worse off then myself so an increased dosage would most likely be necessary.  I would do a bit more but the r-ala is on the expensive side.  All I can say is that I became pretty much pain free within days.  That was about 2 mons. ago.  I have very minor break through pain but not very often.  I hope you will get some relief like I did.  You must be awake all night sad.  If you deide to try this out, be sure to get the r-ala and not the plain ala.  Will be interested to hear back if you get any relief.

    Blessings,

    Pat

Thank you for the response. I had tried ala that was available and with no effect. I will source online for r-ala as you recommended.

      Will keep you posted sooner.

      Thanks

Yes, that would greatly effect your outcome.  Don't forget, I am also taking the benfotiamine 600 mg.

Wow Patricia, Thank you for putting the names of those two vitamins in your input.

Several months ago I had a bad crick in my neck, that when it healed, it left my head offset and my neck crooked.

I just accepted it and moved on. I just turned 60 in February. Around the first of November, I decided to start daily walking. I did just fine for about a week, then after walking one day, my feet ached badly and had shooting pain in my toes and feet with some burning. This went on for a few weeks before someone telling about some St. JOHNS Wart, as well as vitamin B12. They seem to help the symptoms somewhat. Finally I started reading and tried to educate myself and drew a conclusion that this had to be Neurapathy, caused by some kind of nerve impingement.

Finally after hurting in my arms legs, feet and hands, for about 6 weeks, my brother talked me into going to a Chiropractor. Finally I went and he did over a dozen xrays and determined that I had a pinched nerve in my lower back, and my C1 in my neck is crooked because of the offset head and neck, which can cause many problems. Also from the waist down my body was twisted, causing the pinched nerve. The first time I went for an adjustment, he only straightened my body from the waist down, and adjusted my neck, which made me feel a little better, but my next visit a few days later, he adjusted my whole body which later seemed to aggravate the Neurapathy more. He from the beginning wants me to see him 3 times a week for 6 weeks. I have now been about 6 times and the body adjustments are really aggravating the Neurapathy to the point that it seems to be almost everywhere.

My wife keeps saying that I've just started and it takes time, but I've never experienced anything like Neurapathy. It is very depressing. I have always been very active, but now I'm afraid to push it due to the consequences. I retired from the Fire service in 2011, and now since this setback just set around. The crazy thing about this is, I feel normal and good and have a great appetite.

I realize everyone's system is different, but I read about the R-Ala and am very impressed by the info.

I've tried to explain this misery to my family, but unless you've experienced this, you can't possibly imagine.

A couple of them thought it my just be in my head, lol

Thanks again, I went today and bought each Vitamin, and feel it's worth a try, so thank you very much!!.
