9 days in and things are weird

I'm giving Citalopram another go after only lasting 2 days last time. I'm now on day 10. i took 10 mg for 7 days and 15mg for last 3 days. planning on going to 20mg in another few days. this is slightly more gradual than GP suggested (they said 10mg for 1 week, then 20).

I'm starting to notice some benefit in terms of little improvements in mood and anxious thoughts, but this is accompanied by significant physical symptoms of anxiety (shaky, jelly legs, breathless) as well as tiredness.

Has anyone else had this where the meds seem to be working on the mental symptoms of anxiety but not the physical. It's a weird experience, feeling physically anxious but not mentally.

Hold on. It does pass - for me, the side effects are worse in week 2 and 3 and then they die down.

I recognise all the side effects you have described - you have come this far... one final push and it will pass
