9 months post op from myomectomy

So it's be 9 month since my laparoscopic fibroid removal. I thought I would no longer have period cramps but I still do. I asked my doctor about it, he stated it is possible that it may be endometriosis. I thought to remove these fibroids would fix my killer cramps. My cramps are almost the same level of pain but it is still brutal. Anybody have this issue or did your cramps go away after fibroid removal?

the pain is suppose to reduce or go away after the operation.

    Hi dympce,

I didn't have many cramps after fibroid removal, but I didn't have a huge issue with them before either (I guess you could say I was lucky on that account). However, I have a friend who had endometriosis and she had terrible pain. Eventually she had laproscopic surgery to fix it. Good luck, and take care!

    Hi,

I'm 5 months post my open myomectomy and still suffer with period cramps. I've suffered with them since starting my period at age 12. My surgeon said that removing the fibriods may not stop the pain and she was right. The first 3 periods after surgery were terrible but my most recent was bearable. I'm really hoping it wasn't a one off.

I've recently started taking my Starflower and Evening Primrose oil tablets again (From Boots in the UK) to help with the pain. They have worked to reduce my pain in the past.
