9 weeks on new dose of Sertraline and very tired

I have started Setraline some 4 months ago. 25mg for 8 weeks, then up to 50mg and now on my 9th week. And yes, also for me the medication has finally kicked in - at least the nasty depressive feelings and anxiety are gone. What a relief. It happened through windows of 1-4 days, in weeks 6 and 7.

But now I feel very tired throughout the day - and this has started some two weeks ago. Also still suffering from light-headiness and occasional headaches which have been a side effect from the start.

Is somebody experiencing the same? Will it fade-away or last? I am now thinking to wait another month and then go back to 25mg (pff, but that is a journey on itself).

Peter, I also started with 25 mg of Sertraline. I had been having heart palpitations for a long time. The cardiologist told me they were PVC's and nothing to worry about. But they happened so often they were driving me crazy. I had ECG, EKG, Echo cardiogram, stress test etc., and all came back normal. So I went to my primary care doctor with my story. I thought that it must be chemical imbalance in my blood or something that would cause this. He did blood work which was all fine. He said anything that could cause heart palpitations was not part of my blood work. So he recommended putting me on the Sertraline. I began the 25 mg. After 2 weeks, the heart palpitations stopped. I still felt some anxiety and depression, but at least those awful palpitations had stopped for the most part. After 6 weeks I went for a follow up and he upped my dose to 50 mg. He told me that was the regular starting dose and that some people take up to 200 mg. So after a few days of the 50 mg, I was feeling so antsy and anxious, that I went back to the 25 mg. I thought I would increase the dose slowly. So I took the 25 mg, and cut another on in half. So for the past couple of weeks I took 37 mg. This week I started again with the 50 mg and figured I will just tough it out and give it a chance. Today is day 3. A little antsy, but I'm going to give it my best and keep it going. I try to stay busy and not think about it. I do get the light headiness, sometimes the headache. And I also have ringing in my ears. And yes, I too feel a bit tired during the day. I take the Sertraline in the morning. I am hoping the side effects will go away.
