i ben on effexor 75mg never need to increase the dose for 9 years

first 2 or 3 years i remember that the depression disappeared but had anxiety by thoughts still there comes and go but keep faded by time passing then 6 years i felt 100% cured at that point i took worst decision i ever made to stop taking the medicine and i did it the right way i never felt any withdrawals not anything at all because i tapered it gradually right way

lowerd the dose to 37.5mg for almost 7 months then took it every other day until i stoped it

after 3 months ben perfect no any problems at all med free

and one day suddenly i got relapse and i dropped down to hill horrible time ever and i start

i saw real hill on earth with horrible thought that i wanted to quite of my body in anyway

so i start taking ven again

i felt i went back to square one once started the medication

ben on 75mg for almos month and i touch improvement but still struggling and now am on 2nd week on 150mg and i really feel swings on mood some day i feel great whole day for only once then get back to hill in the morning and get better after 9 pm i really feel horrible dont know if this gonna work again as did before cant guess if this will ever cure me again as did before

hello, all what you mention is completely normal, and most people that go back onto the same ad, experience the same as you are. the mood swings are actually a positive sign. to come out of depression, usually means having to go back through anxiety. you alternate between the 2 states of depression and anxiety, but gradually each state becomes less severe, the fluctuations not so great, until you become more balanced. its like a see saw, slowly coming to a stop. at the start, ven brings you out of depression, and lifts your mood. however, your brain chemistry cannot cope with it, and you get anxious. the anxious state then puts you back into depression. as time goes on, ven builds up strength in your body, your brain chemistry changes for the better, the mood swings then stop, and for a while you can feel flat for a couple of weeks, then you start to feel better. youll still get ups amd dowms, but ups happen more often and last longer, and the opposite for the downs. like most people, anxiety is the last thing to dissapear, as happened to you last time. you are older now, with probably more pressure and responsibility and expectations, so your depression could well be worse than your first time. also, you will have forgotten the side effects from your first episode. one think i would say, starting on 75mg and then increasing by 75mg within a short period, can be a bit hard on a person. i started on 37.5mg earlier this year, and went up by 37.5mg to my current dose of 300mg. i experienced liitle in the way of side effects by going up by 37.5mg. max ven dose is generally considerred to be 225mg. so 75mg is 33% of max dose. most ads are increased in increments of 25% of max dose. i tried one increase of 75mg, for one day, didnt like it at all, so went down by 37.5mg something to bare in mind. theres no reason to think you will not recover like you did last time, especially as you recovered on a relatively low dose. its a huge gamble coming off an ad, when you recover, as its normally more difficult to recover. keep going. its going to take quite a while to feel good again. i do think increases in ven of 75mg are too brutal. you should be fine, no reason to think ven will not work for you second time around. ven has a bad reputation, but i love it, compared to the others ive been on. doesnt seem to be the case for quite a lot of people trying it. youve already recovered on it, you should do so again.

nigel thank you soo soo much for your replay and i pen reading alot about you on here sound you are really nice with big heart full in love wishing people health

      may god bless you dear

i have big beleive on ven its saved my life from first and i do have believe on it second time but yeah as much i read about people experiance i get more afraid of the future afraid of ven will stop working and what should i do if thats happened and what will be the alternative sences its one of the powerfull drugs out there

however i dont want to be on more dose than 150mg i can wait longer time to feel cure than increasing the dose

i have beleives that increasing the dose must be for second chance when drug totally stop working

how about you dear i really wanna know how you doing now do you feel 100% back to normal or still having some days down i would love to know more about your experience wish you all the best of health
