A big thank you for your help.

I am way past the menopause, way, way past. In fact I thought maybe my problem was because of my age - it was something you had to put up with when you get old. I had never heard of Lichen Sclerosis, nor had any of my friends. They have now!!!!

Back in February this year I realised something was amiss because when I went for a wee, it stung like fury. In the end I plucked up courage to get a mirror to discover what was going on. Shocked was an understatement - 2 splits, white patches, redness. I phoned my doctor who suggested oestrogen replacement because of my age. The problem continued . Then I found this forum and I am so pleased I did. By the time I read through all the posts I knew what I had and set about trying to alleviate the symptoms from the information you ladies have provided; personal bidet, white face cloths for patting the areas dry, E45, cutting out artificial sweeteners - they have all helped so much. Today I was formally diagnosed by 2 doctors with Lichen Sclerosis and have been prescribed Clobaderm and am to continue with all the things I have been doing to alleviate the symptoms.

Without your help I would not have known which way to turn so thank you from the bottom of my heart xxx
