A bit of blood on stool for about 5 months now. Very Scared!

i am new to this but just wanted a little advice. i have seen a gastro doctor and i have a up coming appt. for a colonoscopy. i have been experiencing a bit of blood on my stool for 5 months now... it has not got worse seems to be a bit more with harder stool and when i go 2-3 days without noticing blood i think i am good but then it comes back. i started taking fiber supplements and mira lax and the stool is softer but i still see it. i am not dripping blood so the toilet bowl is not full of blood and i have only had a couple times where there is blood on the toilet paper seems to only be on the stool. here is a picture of the blood and if that is fresh blood looking coming from the lower rectum or higher. let me know any thoughts what it could be. i know only a doctor can tell me but just want to know if someone else has had the same thing happen. thank you!image

    I had this and it was caused by a fissure. However, I had pain too. Try not to worry until there is something to worry about. Easier said than done, I know. I'm dealing with some new health issues 😕 Glad you have a colonoscopy scheduled. You'll have answers soon ❤️
