hiya everyone, i have just been to see a consultant, about my shoulder. WEEEELL it was a revalation, he has worked out that my problems could be all related to my neck. so iam gettin a new mri on my shoulder and my clavicle, also the consultant has wrote to my gp and suggested he refers me to a neurosurgeon. he thnks it is more than likely that all my new pain is connected to my neck and he was amazed that i hadnt had a check up in the last 13 yrs. so aunty em what do you think about that, someone taking notice after all this time lol. maybe i will find something out at last. :x :x bye for now chris xx

I have had neck and shoulder pain together with blackouts and dizziness and imbalance for the past 9 years. I have had CAT scans, MRI scans, Physio, Osteopathy, Acupunture, Chiropractic treatment, Reiki and Indian Head Massage as well as Healing. Nothing worked and eventually I became house bound. HOWEVER! and here is the best part. I think I have finally found out what is wrong with me. Think about this it makes perfect sense. Trigger points in my shoulder and neck. Trigger points (in case anyone does not know what they are) are knots in the muscles. These stop the circulation of blood and lead to dizziness and blackouts and extreme pain. I found my information on the net but everyone I went to did not have any knowledge of trigger points. I found someone who knew what I was talking about (internet again) who knows it as deep massage. I went for my first treatment yesterday and I am really hopeful. It is actually a University Sports Centre.

By the way I am 70. She has had someone the same at 40 but for 12 yrs.

just a word of warning from my sister who is a qualified masseure therapist. no-one with cs or general neck problems should ever have reiki or indian head massage. no-one knows how badly you can be affected by the massage. only things like this being done on the say so of your gp or specialist. chris
