A diagnosed after 20 years

i has to share some exciting news. my CfS has been confirmed.

ive seen a specialist after my doctors referral, she was amazing, and out of the 8 symptoms i had 7! I took my mum for moral support and so glad i did as she was able to hear that im not a hypochodriact like everyone thought.

The specialist has dated me having cfs since glandular fever exactly 20 years ago. Ive had 2 operations thinking my symptoms was endometriosis.

ive got an activity plan which i have to follow and its Really tough because its changing the habits ive had since i was a teenager, im such an active person, always on the go and now told to slow down. However I am willing to try anything as long as I can manage these symptoms for the rest of my life.

Keep going everyone.x

Can hear the relief in your message! Fantastic you got the answer after all this time.

Hope the activity plan helps too.

      Thank you Beverley.

Not going to dwell on it, I'm way to positive for that but now can start to change my habits and routines to fit around life.

      Thank you.

Most of these we just put down to it being "a Caz moment"!!

      • Clumsiness
      • Forgetfulness
      • Difficulties with pincer grip
      • Fatigue
      • Leg & finger Spasms
      • Over sensitive to noise (even at a "normal" level)
      • Pains in my joints and muscles
