A double edged-sword

Well, folks, my rehab period is up tomorrow.
Good news is that all my restrictions are officially lifted. I can drive *yay*, stop sleeping on my back *hand-standings* and relax the 90 degree rule *back-flips*.
But, it also means that I will be going back to work. And with that, comes a whole plethora of new challenges.

just wondering how how your rehab from bursitis is going?
how is the new physio? Effective and reassuring I hope.
i go back to physio tomorrow. Think I've rested my psoas long enough to be allowed possibly a go on the stationary cycle and be given some glute and quad strengthening exercises.

Thank you for your kind words.
I start next week and will have aphased return. I do not know the details yet. Yes, :-) I shall be coming back to this lovely forum for quite some time. Even though my recovery has gone amazingly well, there is still much to learn - and who would want to leave all you lovely people?
Man hugs

im pretty good actually.
am 9 weeks post op.
its quite slow going for me, but I'm ok with thAt.
i had issues with psoas and groins immediately post op which has taken time to recover from. Nothing serious going on there. Just natures way of making sure I do this whole rehabilitation rebuilding in a very slow, conscious and steady way.
i also had a 1 and half inch pelvic tilt on the X-ray after surgery. This had been there the whole time, so no wonder my hip wore itself away. Poor thing had to work very hard! Have been having some quite extreme backache (in the facet joints) . There is Lots of weakness in core muscle area and an unstable pelvis.
For the time being I wear an orthopedic felt lift in my shoes.
just back from physio who confirmed that any crazy fears I'd had that I was heading for back surgery, are unfounded, and it is in fact all down to the unstable pelvis.
Until this is sorted through strengthening (a long slow process apparently), then it will continue to be very uncomfortable when I walk more than 300 or 400 steps, when I stay sitting for longer than about 15 mins or stand for prolonged period of time.
am not phased by this. As long as there is light at the end of the tunnel, and I know not to be afraid of some phantom worst case scenario, then I can just get on with it, and jse the time to make sure my health is sound on all levels. Whats the worst that can happen? I'll be frustrated ... Well I can deal with that. Plus I continue to get lots of help with my two young children, and lots of ME time.
Phew, a long answer to a short question, but glad to get that off my chest.
thanks for listening, and again good luck next week x

I am reading (in between the lines) that the prognosis is good and it is just a case of keeping on going :-) I imagine that not being in the same position (standing, walking, sitting) can become quite tiresome, so well done you for having the positive mental attitude! x
