A little taboo...

Did your doctors provide you any information about anal sex after posterior repair? I cant find anything online and I didnt think to ask my dr at the time, but have since lost my insurance...

I understand that its not everyones thing. Its not something I do often but its nice for spicing things up once a blue moon... I have tried it post op and had absolutely no pain associated with it.

Hi ... as i understand the posterior repair the incision is made in the back wall of the vagina and the bowel is pushed back in2 place and the excess tissue removed from the vagina so it all sits back where it should. Same with anterior repair with the front wall and bladder. I'm assuming ... but I'm no doctor that as there is no actual insult to the rectum/bowel apart from repositioning anal sex probably isnt a problem. Unlike vaginal sex where u need 2 wait for all the incisions to heal. I havent had my surgery yet and my gyno didnt say anything at my initial appointment about any type of sex. I'm assuming I'll get advice post op. Good luck.

This is what I figured. I did have a posterior repair via vagina, but I wondered if any one was ever told that it may effect the rectovaginal fascia that is repaired (the deeper sutures) as Ive not hears anything of the subject. Thanks for your reply!

You do realise that your rectum is full of all sorts of bacteria that shouldn't be on penis or in vagina. So I'm hoping that he doesn't go anal 1st, then in same session go into vag too? Maybe you use protection, I'm hoping!

No, we just go ass to mouth. I was unaware of there being any bacteria involved, so thank you for enlightening me!

It's kind of the same reason we are sposed to teach our children once they are ready to wipe themselves, to wipe from front to back from behind, & not wipe forwards from between legs.

The anus has so much bacteria it full of them. I would not be even thinking if putting anything near my butt especially after posteria repair. You should be giving the area at least 3 months to heal. The thought of *** to mouth is even more churning.all those nadty bugs in the mouth hun, your heading for a nasty tummy bug please give yourself time to heal before exploring and spicving up your bedroom fun. I've been through a snteria repair, then hysterectomy and re repair 2 years later so had plenty of experience with all the healing. Take it easy. X

Maybe its a topic that needs 2 be brought up by the patient. Its maybe not something the doctor would automatically think off ....
