A lot of stuff going on

So I went to my second opinion for my ankle. I sprained it pretty badly about 4 months ago. My MRI shows injuries to my ligaments and I also have posterior tibial tendonitis Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis. I've been in a walking boot with physical therapy for 3.5 months and was just put into a short leg cast almost 2 weeks ago. I get it off Friday to go back to a walking boot. I'm still in a lot of pain. I'm at my wit's end with this. What do I do?

Hi Mollie - Do you know what your pain is from?

    I so know the feeling.

To be frank it takes a long time to recover from tendonitis. You have to be very patient (which is tricky) It takes as long as it takes.

Last year I had post tib tendonitis and plantar fasciitis - and it took me 7 months of intense physio therapy and a good diet to eliminate it.

Equally you should be aware, that by going in a cast and a boot, you will also need additional Pt to help you because your achilles tendon is likely to shorten and will need help in lengthening again to match the other.

Be very VERY patient. These things can not be hurried - unfortunately.

    My very best wishes

    Ariane
