A message for a brave girl

I joined this forum a good few months ago but before that l just used to have a nosey at everyones threads and worries and how supportive everyone was but 1 girl stood out to me she seemed to be very young infact the youngest on the forum . A few months down the line and me
and her are good friends.
I just wanted to write something about how brave this girl is. We are all on here for various hip replacrment issues but if you knew how long this girl has been suffering....most of her life probably. She has already had 12 ops on her hip and spine. But soon she is going in for her very 1st hip replacement and its not just a straight forward hip replacement its much more complex than that which l am hoping gives her a life she deserves at such a young age. Thats why l don't like moaning as we sometimes don't know how lucky we are when you hear what she has been and gone through.
I just want to let her know l will be there for her no matter what as l am sure everyone will be.
Getting to know such a special person has been a privalage to me. I hope to be her friend for a long time.
I want to wish her all the best in her 1st ever hip op and hope it all goes to plan. We just don't realise how lucky we all are.
To my good friend Sarah xxxx

Sarah, please know that I am also standing beside you. I have learned through both my THR's that support is so important both physically and mentally. We often forget just how hard this process is mentally and I felt the raw edge of your post and it stayed with me.
Talk to us often, join in with discussions and you'll find a whole beautiful bunch of people on here who will also be standing with you.
Sending love and light to both of you and your new found friendship

I have read Sarah's posts. While most of us are perhaps a little older and accept that wear and tear of our joints are a normal part of ageing, it must be very different for someone like Sarah, who from a very young age has experienced so much pain, so much surgery and so many restrictions to her life.
Wishing her the very best of luck for her hip replacement and hoping that it gives her loads of relief.
And what a lovely post Lors xxx

Have had my complaints brought into perspective, where they should be when I read about Sarah's issues.
Best wishes my darling young lady, keep in touch.

You will certainly share lots of experiences together, very happy to hear such a nice story on here like this. The forum does deliver in so many ways such a kind and warm supportive environment, not always seen on the internet, but this is unique to here, so glad it also brings friends together too
