A middle-aged woman's legs are numb and feel cold and tingling. What kind of disease is this?

I have a female friend who is 53 years old this year. Her legs are anesthetic, she feels cold and tingling, her right leg is more severe, and she also feels a small amount of pain in her waist. She took an MRI and found that there is a small disc herniation in the tail of waist. The doctor think the problem is not serious. The blood vessels in the legs were also checked and there were no problems. Her walking speed is slow now. Therefore, her movement is inconvenient. How can we treat her problem? And, what kind of disease can this patient be classified? Thank you.

hi casper, i have never heard of that! i think you need to speak to a specialist, numbness and tingling seems like nerve difficulty, may be squashed disc in the back could cause this? would a physio know what this is?

The problem is likely the herniated disc. While not a medical emergency, they can still cause pain, tingling, and numbness. My cousin had to get hers fixed due to leg pain she was having. Doctors might say it isn't serious because it is not life-threatening, but I believe that may be the root of that issue for her.
