[u:529eafaa99]A Poem By M.E[/u:529eafaa99]

There was a young boy called Jay

Who always went out to play

He was popular at school

But was nobodys fool

The gift of the gab was his way

He enroled with the cubs

Soon after the scouts

Didn't spend much time in clubs

Because he was always going out

His life was going great

With some really good mates

But he did believe that fate

Would guide him on his way

He held his head up high

With confidence running smooth

Making his way through life

His soul was on the move

He planned this life of his

To work his carrer first

Knowing he would always land

On both his feet first

His 30th birthday soon came

Where he looked to settling down

Life for him was great

But then it all went down

He got struck down with a virus

Spending 3 months in bed

But couldn't understand

Why he wasnt on the mend

Each morning when he woke

Wondering what on earth had happened

He would often only wish

He could understand all of this

He would often ponder for five

On what this life would bring

But only for him to forget

Before the dawn breaks

The sun is shinning bright

All so warm and high

But he would often wish

To turn off this blinding light

Some people love to hear

All the birds singing

But for him all he'd hear

Are the flocks sreams

He would often feel this world

Tilting on its own axis

But only for him to find

It was just him who noticed

He struggle to walk far

Its like a muddy bog

But he can see this world

Though it looks like tunnel fog

He look up at the stars

And prayed most nights

That not so far away

Theres a cure on the way

He will never know

What tomorrow brings

But one things for sure

Are the pain killers he'll need

Do people of this world

Understand his illness

I pray and hope they do

But truthly they dont!!

Take care

Jay, I don't know what to say

To put all that down like that seems almost cathartic in a way. Poetry can be strange, it seems to convey things that words alone cannot.

Well done for composing that and thankyou for sharing it with us.

What a great way to say how many of us feel. It brought a smile to my face to read it. It's good to be reminded that we are not alone with our suffering.

I hate winter, I know it's spring but I'm sitting here watching the snow fall. The road and pathe are covered. What else can I expect ling in the north on top of a hill.

    Take care everyone Lou Lou.
