If you think you have conjunctivitis (red/pink eye, goopy discharge, scratchy feeling...) you should seek medical care as soon as possible. Because you're experiencing "flickering vision" I'd recommend you see an optometrist/ophthalmologist for a complete eye exam. Flickering lights, floaters, etc. are usually a symptoms of the vitreous fluid separating itself from the retina (happens to all of us as we age and most of the time we don't even notice anything). Best to seek professional medical care...
