A question about PV and HPV

*sorry I meant vp in the title lol

Hi all, So I've noticed lately (I've never actually looked down at my vagina before and this is mostly because the last time I had any sexual contact with someone was when I was 16, I'm 24) and I never felt anything unusual down there. But I'm getting to know someone and I decided to do some peeking around out of curiosity

Nothing feels different than it ever has, but I noticed I have what looks like either HPV or VP. I've looked at lots of pictures on this website. But I do have questions.

I tried(despite arguing with myself not to) the vinegar test and nothing turned white. I've never had any unusual discharge. And they are symmetrical and do not hurt, they are finger like growths, and aren't connected where they start. I know a lot of times pictures are needed, but I'm terrified 😦 . One thing is I have a line of it on one side of my outer folds near the end of my vagina, and on the other side as well but one side is smaller than the other

Like I said nothing feels different from anytime recently (haven't looked down there before but have felt around) but I'm just really curious.

Thanks for any advice, if I need to post pictures I'll work myself up to it

    Dear alice,

Your description fits with vestibular papillomatosis and not genital warts. You haven't told us if you've been vaccinated with Gardasil (HPV vaccine). If you have, then genital warts would be very unlikely. In any case, if you had been infected with HPV eight years ago, it would almost certainly have cleared by now.

FYI- lilly68314 has posted a good example of VP for you to compare with your own anatomy.

    Rgds,

    Adhari.
