A very lost being.

So I'm a 20yr old female, I have been severely depressed for 7-8 years however literally just started antidepressants two days ago. I know people experience them different however I've noticed about three hours after taking fluoxtine 10mg I feel the need to break down and cry. I actually start to fully feel emotions, not pleasant ones either. I guess what I'm getting at is, is this normal? And if anyone has been diagnosed with BPD I would love to talk as I am being evaluated next Friday.

Thank you for being honest. I will continue to take them because it is only my second day, I just feel like I've already been effected by them somehow. I didn't think I was suppose to feel anything for a few weeks, its rather odd.

thats cool an ur welcome, take each day as it comes and should you feel any lows, might be cos the medication not kicked in fully,

i've tried certain meds that made situation worse, so can be a case of trail n error, do as ur doctor suggests,

jus hold in, an battle thru, plenty of peeps on this site, that do  give helpfull advice, so always feel free to post smile

I'm on fluoxtine and I feel fine on them. I have had no side effects yet but have had a period for 22 days, so not sure if that is to do with the medication or something else. Will say that I've uped my dosage to 2 tablets a day so far as 1 wasn't enough.

Can you do that? I'm only on 10mg so not very strong at all, that sounds horrible I'm sorry to hear that about the 22 days

As long as you get permission for your doctors to do so. I've had issues with my periods since I was 14 which I think I'd connected to my anxiety issues.
