A way to relieve or even stop your anxiety in Perimenopause

Hi all, 

I started suffereing with really bad anxiety whilst in peri.  I cut out coffee and low and behold, my anxiety stopped.  Maybe it could work for you too.  Good luck x

    Yes, I have found cutting out caffeine has really helped during menopause. But it is important to keep hydrated. Water can be boring, si I have found a good range of herbal teas, Twinings do a good raspberry and echninea flavour tea and so do some if the high street health stores. My digestive tract seems to have become intolerant to too much milk, which I needed in tea and coffee. So these herbal teas are a god send!

    Im really suffering with that now im in menopause, i do have about three cups a day and try to cut back but havent tried to cut out completely x

      I was a big coffee drinker but the anxiety was worse than giving up coffee so it had to go.  Try halving your cups, at first, then omitting one every other day.  Weaning off rather thank stopping at once.  Good luck with it x

    Hi there,

    How about decaf? I have been on it for about 3-4 years. Made a big difference. People ask me why bother if it is decaf. My qquestion back to them is....Do you drink coffee because you like the taste of caffeine or do you drink it because you like the taste of coffee????      Dah......
