A work free weekend!

I have been feeling better this weekend, less body aches and less tired :D

No workmen to run around for or pupil medical records to read through :x

The only thing is - my right shoulder is very painful when i lift my arm and my right hip continues to give me problems. :cry

I had tendonitis on my shoulder before and it feels a bit the same

I also feel as though i have a hernia, when i bend down the pain is excrutiating next to my umbilicus (belly button to those who are non medical) , it feels as though my insides are ripping (it's hard to explain). It hurts when i cough too.

I'm wondering if i have lifted something too heavy, this is all i need.

I don't want to go to my G.P right away, i feel as though they've had enough of my ailments recently, especially since i am just back to work.

Anyone shed any light :?

Hmm ......... sounds a bit like a umblicial hernia, Teedie :nurse:

Specially if it hurts when you cough :?

Is there any sign of swelling?

I know you've been making them lunches and cups of tea Teedie .... but are you sure you haven't been helping those builders put the new bath into place or anything like that

I had pain a bit like that and I was convinced it was something brewing, but it turned out to be a strained muscle .... hadn't realised how painful they could be and the pain appears several days after you've actually done it which is a bit confusing.

Keep an eye on it ..... hopefully it will just disappear as these things often do.

Can't have you off sick for your new bathroom launch ... particularly now James has finally reappeared

    Hope you feel better soon.

    Katie

    Thanks :nurse:

Umbilical hernia's are alot more common in children, i assisted in those operations when i worked in theatre in the children's hospital for 15 years.

There is no swelling. I will just wait and see if it disappears on its own.

The only heavy things i have been lifting is shopping but come to think of it, i lifted a box of floor tiles the other day from the car.

Hopefully bathroom launch will be tomorrow night, won't hold my breath

I forgot the main reason for doing a post, got too carried away with our bathroom opening.

I have been dead all day, so my husband was sent to supermarket for a cooked chicken, and ready prepared veg, not forgettig ready made yorkshire puddings. I have been so achy, sore throat I did not even want it. Felt guilty but can't help it.

I hope things improve by tomorrow as I am going to the me clinic at the hospital.

Oh well, that's it then Teedie :nurse:

Strained abdominal muscle from lifting box of tiles

    Hopefully not herniated :?

It will last for several days and then gradually disappear ....

Not much you can do except take anti-inflams ...

Funnily enough, I actually found Buscopan helped as well because with

natural intestinal peristalsis, the muscle pain was exascerbated. and the relaxant put a stop to that very quickly.

(Sorry everyone else that was a bit technical ..... :? )

So, hopefully it will resolve itself Teedie smile

No more lifting tiles ..... well, hopefully by this stage they are all on the wall

Hope you feel fitter by tomorrow Lou, I have to force myself to eat too, my appetite is not great with this illness. My hubby was out last night and i didn't make myself any tea. Just had :crisps: :choc: and a glass of :bubbly:

I'm just going off to make sure the bath is ok and to try out the bubble bath for the party. Hope James is near

Will take a glass of :bubbly: with me

Hope you're trip to the clinic is better than last time

OMG the past couple of days the large :bleep: ing :spider: have raised their ugly heads.

My wee boy had to get one :spider: for me last night. When i went to bed my daughter said there was one in the livingroom :spider: She is worse than me so it will still be lurking somewhere. It will probably peep out when i'm here on my own

    Hi Lou Lou

Sorry you are not too good sad

You thought you had probably overdone it yesterday ...... I'm afraid in the early stages you have to be very careful ...... boring though it is

Do let us know how you get on at the ME Clinic ...... hope they are helpful. You can share all the info. :D

    Take care

Teedie, just remember that the poor old spiders aren't going to hurt you .... they are a darned sight more scared than you are :spider:

There seem to be loads of them this year ... every time I throw one out I think of you Teedie

Learn to think of them as your friends :spider: :spider:

They may look :weird: but they are totally harmless

Right off to watch 'Strictly' which I have recorded ...... :D

Thanks Katie for that smile Very technical indeed

I hope the [b:24fb52b7ac]floor[/b:24fb52b7ac] tiles aren't on the wall  Well actually they are on the bath panel right enough

The tiling isn't complete, hopefully tomorrow

Hope my pain subsides over the next few days, as you say

Well all this appeared whilst I was elsewhere. I got to the final post and was glad to see Teedie put us straight about where the floor tiles actually were. I had visions of huge quarry tiles clinging to the bathroom wall, waiting to drop off on someone's head as they lay in the bath. Hope James knows CPR.

Well got in and out of the bath safely  No tile injuries

Had my hubby dressed in red speedos just incase  as no sign of James

Oh Katie, i couldn't think of :spider: as my friends, i know they are harmless but i would need a serious bout of hypnotherapy to get me to lift a :spider:

They certainly do scarper when they hear a scream :yikes: Maybe they cannot tolerate loud noises either

I have notice the sudden increase of :spider: . I think it is connected to the departure of poor sooty. He used to hunt them and eat them. We nicknamed them as a mobile snack.

Yes, cats are good for that. We looked after a cat for 1 month for a friend as we were going to get one, but party pooper hubby had to have an allergy, didn't he.

The kids loved it, hence why my poor wee girl tried to kidnap the neighbours cat

Yes, our cat Ebony loves munching on a spider :D

Delicious ......... except she leaves the legs for us to sweep up

Ha Ha ..... that was funny about your floor tiles Teedie

    Silly old ME :silly:
