A year of chills and aches but not sick! Anyone else have this?

I had my last period in 2019, and ever since i have been plagued with severe constipation, constant feelings of having a UTI (but they come back clear), and bouts of chills and night sweats (no fever or sickness). I'm on low dose BHRT. What weirds me out the most are the chills. I literally feel like I'm freezing, and not even hot showers make it go away. Then during these bouts of chills, I get random pings in my muscles (like when you're sick), but I'm not sick! I guess i would just like to not feel like I'm alone in this. Thanks everyone.

Hi hm,
I do get chills before a period is due, it also seems to be more noticeable in the evenings too. Worth getting your thyroid checked if this hasn't been done as hypothyroidism can cause similar symptoms.
Do you take anything for constipation? During my pregnancy I was severely constipated. I was prescribed 3 different laxatives which didn't help all that much. Eating prunes and taking syrup of figs (bought at the pharmacy) worked much better for me as well as drinking plenty of water. Perhaps have a chat with a pharmacist to see what they suggest.
The constant feeling of having a UTI may actually be vaginal atrophy. Have a read about this and see if it may apply to you. If so there is treatment available in the form of localised estrogen. I do not have this issue myself but have read lots of testimonies from women who have found effective relief.
Hope this has been helpful and I wish you all the best.

I've also had maybe 6 months of chills and night sweats but put it down to post covid/long covid symptoms and it settled after about 6 months so not sure it was related to hormones for me. I'm now hopefully past my long covid rubbish!! until I catch covid again I suppose, it's only been a year of rubbishness. For the vaginal issues, I agree with the other lady, and there is a cream (localised oestrogen) which is now available in pharmacies (no longer need a Dr to prescribe it - in fact mine wouldn't!) called vaginal oestrogen and this can help lubricate/stop itching and also help with over excited bladder!
