Aaaaargh the sweats

Omg these sweats are driving me properly nuts.   4 weeks on 50 doc says it will settle but I’m so uncomfortable with being hot all the time. The soles of my feet sweat and my hair is constantly damp it’s utterly miserable.  Please tell me someone is having this too and that it gets better I honestly am done in with it.

Hi again Laura I've been sleeping on top of the bed and changing bottom sheets daily . I find getting up in the cool of the night really helpful. James

It’s not so much at night for me it’s all day long.  If I just sit and do nothing it’s fine but as soon as I get up and do anything I’m sweating buckets and im not normally sweaty.   It’s a pain in the ass.

It gets better, I promise. Just buy a fan, get the windows open and a good excuse for an ice cream! But seriously this is my second time round on sertraline and it does 100% get better, just have to keep battling through the side effects until you come out the other side xx

Aw Kelly your words are like music to my ears thank you.  I bought a fan today actually, hope it gets delivered tomorrow.   How long have you been on ser for.  I have taken it before too but never had this sweating this is new for me which is odd.  X

I pray for a quick delivery for you!! Fan is the dream!! Also a cold flannel also works a treat on your neck or on your feet! Lol.

I've been back on it just 2 weeks and previously had been on it about 12months. I have had different side effects too this time which is strange, I guess maybe my hormones are different so maybe that's why it's different??

I havnt had the sweats this time round, mines jaw clenching and the fact I could sleep forever (today I had 20minutes in the toilet at work 🙈wink but I know it will pass. xx

I took it for 4 years and never had sweats.   It’s crazy how it can be different.  Perhaps it’s us that are different.   No fan today hopefully tomorrow. Thanks Kelly xx

The sweats have arrived 😅 Honestly it feels like I'm lying on a beach in Tenerife in the full sun at 12oclock and not in a good way at all!!

Has the fan arrived?? Mine's on full blast, even though the cat isn't impressed! How are you today? xx

Hey Kelly welcome to sweat world lol.  Oh man it sucks I feel your pain.   Still no fan, today started out anxious and crap and this afternoon I actually felt the most normal in months, I felt calm, like real calm, it hasn’t gone away and it is blissful.  How are you apart from sweating? X

It’s all good, what started as anxious ended up really calm and today I have felt calmer too which has been lovely, even managed to drive my son to his girlfriends with no anxiety at all.   What do you think triggered you today Kelly? X
