Abdominal Pain

Hi, is anyone else suffering with abdominal pain? It seemed to ease off a bit for a few weeks now its back full force, very painful. ive had lots of tests but no doctor has been able to give me a definitive answer as to whats causing it. Its constant and it does sometimes ease a bit with eating but not all the time which makes me think it could be stomach even tho the pain is slightly under right rib. It seems to ease slightly in the evenings as well. on my endoscope they did say gastritis but they said it wouldnt be causing the pain im in. ive tried omeprazole and nexium with no effect.

Has anyone else had a similar pain?

    Hello,

During the earlier stages of having this illness I've experienced similar pain to yours regarding the abdominal area.

Some nights i couldn't even sleep, I also have seen the doctor many times about it although they couldn't really figure out why and said it could be IBS or something related to that.

The pain lasted a while for me.. it was not that great but what really helped me was use tigerbalm on the area that hurt, which was my left abdomen under the rib.

The pain is now gone for me although even after months I am still resting

Those pains are awful! Doctors always seem confused about the gut. For me, cutting out all refined sugar, all dairy except a low sugar greek yogurt (i recommend with fat, cabot greek), and most starch/carbs. The pain finally stopped. A good sugarless probiotic on an empty stomach helps me. Also, you might need to have a bowel movement and the pressure around your liver/spleen (which are very sensitive during mono) ache and need relief when I felt the pains. Good luck, I hope that helps and keep us posted.
