Abilify-next steps

Hi-struggling over here! I’ve been off of abilify now for about 19 days. I feel terrible! Jittery, anxious, low mood. I’m trying to debate if this is Withdrawl or the “real” me off of meds. Can someone fill me in on how they felt going off? Thanks!!

im sorry to hear this! what mg were you on and for how long? i only ask because ive been on 2.5-5mg ish depending on my pill cutter's accuracy for about a week and a half. ive been having some bad blurry vision and hard time like focusing my eyes and brain almost? i hope your situation gets better?

hi! i was on 2 mg for about 3.5-4 months and then 1 mg for about 3 weeks and now on nothing. so you take either 2.5 mg or 5 mg? that might be part of the issue?? i talked with my doc last night and she wants me to start it back up at 1 mg. i am so torn on what to do. i feel pretty crappy yet i was off of it, which felt good. i am just curious if what i am feeling is rebound anxiety or withdrawl issues. do you feel better? are you taking it with another med too?

im actually taking the abilify alone! he wanted to try it because some ssris and i have bad reactions. but the pill is 5 mg and he wanted me to start with half and there isnt a line where it divides so it kinda cuts as close to half as it can haha. but i should also mention i do take klonopin .25 mg once or twice a day depending on my anxiety levels. i dont think this combo is a miracle or where i want to stop if that makes sense its helped a slight bit but i know i can make much more progress.

oh interesting. my doc has suggested that in the future. i know for me, it helped after a week and then after two-three weeks, i was feeling really good. like normal-ish. i am starting back on 1 mg. it's a tiny dose, but it helps, i guess? ssri's don't really agree with me either!

it definitely seemed to do something in the beginning but its been almost 2 weeks and im wondering if i should go up to 5 mg like my doctor said or if i should hold at about 2.5 more consistently. i hope it does pull thru more and i see huge improvements, i feel right now its helped but maybe by a small percentage and i feel theres so much more room to get better yet.

i would try and stay at one dose for at least a week and see if that helps. i actually restarted it--i need it right now, i think. blah. i did 2 days at 1 mg and now 1 day at 2 mg. we shall see how it goes. i am feeling pretty crappy right now, but hopefully will fade away here soon.
