Able to eat eggs

Hi I know I can't eat fried eggs as it give nausea and discomfort to me.

Today I tried hard boiled egg and yet I had gas after half on hour.

I heard those without gallbladder can't take egg yolks as too much protein in it. Anyone has this problem

    Hi Anita,

your comment on eggs is interesting....I had my GB out 3 years ago and I now find eggs , well to put it delicately , explosive within minutes ! Which is a real pity . I can just about cope with a very hard boiled egg only .

    Hi Anita

i don't think I'll ever eat eggs again!! I don't think it's worth taking the risk. Eggs are well known for not agreeing with people without a gallbladder and found they were a big factor in bringing on gallstone attacks as well.

I haven't been able to eat eggs for years ! way before I had gallbladder

problems I was rushing to the bathroom within minutes of eating one.

They caused me soon much pain and diarhea, I will never have another one!!

Like the others who posted, after my gallbladder was out, eggs first thing in the morning aren't good for me either. But I seem to be able to tolerate hard boiled ok like at lunch.

But I do take LYPOGOLD which is a fat digestive supplement and oxbile. That combo seems to help me with eating anything!

I scramble 2 eggs with a bit of milk, melt a bit of grass fed butter in the bottom of a bowl and microwave them--I can also eat them if I fry two with butter.  So, no problems with eggs for me.  I think the problem stems from the choline in the eggs, not the protein.  xx

I have made 3 999 calls due to terrible gall bladder attacks.

I noticed I had eaten 2 scrambled eggs just before the December 2020 attack.

Last night, I ate 1 fried egg in a roll and started to have pain, which did not proceed to agony, but I waited in fear when the symptoms started.

I have eaten chocolate cream and chocolate sponges made with lots of eggs over Christmas. I have no problems with eggs mixed in cakes or the chocolate whipping cream, BUT I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THEM.

However, egg freshly and lightly fried, gives me major problems. I have been a pescetarian , no meat, for around 20 years. My stomach cannot cope to digest hard protein. Apparently eggs also have a high cholesterol content which can play havoc I read with the gall bladder.

In a nutshell, if I mix the eggs with flour, I am OK, but not otherwise. I usually can cope with a floury pancake, but am not recommending one:(

I am going to try and amend my diet to avoid an operation.

    Good luck.
