Hi, I was wondering where we find outcomes to this problem. I am 61 and am wondering about other causes this could be besides cancer.

Thank you..Friday is missing biopsy, prayers up..for us all.(((+)))

I don't know what you mean by outcomes, but aside from cancer, it is usually just a build up of the uterine wall due to hormones, etc. In post menopausal women, the normal for the lining is 0 to 6. I had nine cms and they were not worried and then a few years later, now it is 22. I usually have uterine biopsies in the doctor's office but this time we are just going for the Hysteroscopy and D and C in the hospital. I have had a D and C before. I am also a breast cancer survivor and the meds for that could have had something to do with. Too much estrogen has been great for wrinkle prevention, but not for other things. ??

Now we are getting some where. Other things it could be. Did you have pain with the bleeding? How was the D & C? I had to google that just to know what that is (D & C) lol. I am totally in the dark.

I have cramps. Just like the olden days... Lol. We may be candidates for hysterectomies. I am the only one who has not had one yet in my family of females. My mom had a six pound tumor removed in her thirties and had one then. She is now 93. ?? My daughter had to have her ovaries removed at eighteen because of a tumor. Chances are it is my turn, but we are all still kicking many years later. Being a cancer survivor, I don't panic easily. The D and C will determine if hysterectomy needed, and I don't need that stuff any more (although I wish I had frozen some back in the day for my daughter but they would only freeze embryos then and not eggs)

Thank goodness we have this forum to know that we are some what normal. I was really nervous but hearing all of your stories I guess I am normal. My period finally slowed today and no stomach cramps. It feels so good to be back to almost normal. I hope within a couple days it will subside all the way for awhile. At least until the next round!
