Abnormal bleeding and fibroids

A couple of weeks ago I went to the gynecologist because if abnormal period and spotting. She did an internal ultrasound and found several fibroids that were relatively small. she also said my uterus was larger than normal. She recommended a biopsy to rule out cancer but said that the bleeding is due to the fibroids. I suffer from anxiety and deppression and the worst thoughts come to my mind. I can't sleep and cry sll the time. I am currently waiting on the biopsy results.

    Hi,

    I also have a fibroid (it is now 10cm) and is going to be removed via surgery on March 1. I know how scary this all is. I was having trouble fathoming that I needed surgery at 25 already. You are not alone. It really can make you feel horrible and sad. I had to go to the ER this past weekend cause I was bleeding nonstop for 3 hours straight and lost a lot of blood.

    Although there's always a small chance of it being cancer, that is very rare and try not to think of the worst case scenarios. I know that you will get the help you need and your doctor will determine your best route. Take care.
