Abnormal Discharge w/Irritation, Burning, and Itching - Is this a yeast infection?

Hi all,

I've attached a picture of a swab I took of the discharge I've been having for the last couple of days. I went to the clinic and they gave me a medication in case it is a yeast infection, but I still need to wait for test results. I haven't been able to find any reference images that looked similar enough - so I'm worried that it might be something serious! I am experiencing intense itchiness and burning, but not so much of an odor (from what I can tell?) or pain/burning when urinating.

Some things to note - my last period (11/20) was more light than I'm used to, and there have been situations where I spotted "old blood" later before my next period.

Any help would be appreciated!

    I think you have sores on your vagina. Its either that or discharge from an earlier period. Anything is possible, good or bad. I think its a period discharge or sores also, if painful.
