I've had this rough patch of darkened skin on my upper back for at least 6 months. It does not hurt and is never itchy, however it is rough to touch and has appeared to have gotten larger. I am thinking melanoma. Any thoughts?

There are all kinds of different conditions, skin cancers etc. My advice would be to seek your GP's opinion. If they are concerned they will refer you on a 2 week wait to the local plastic surgery team. They can then tell you what it is or do a biopsy to find out.
