Abnormal vaginal bleeding, pain during sex, stomach pain and no periods for 3-years.

Please, please could someone give me any advice. I am desperate.
I haven't had a period for 3-years. The doctors have put me on a pill to try to prompt them. However, this has not worked. I have been diagnosed with PCOS but I have no symptoms of this, and tests come back normal except ultrasound.
I get pain when I have sex, not all the time, but sometimes, and it is enough to make me yelp.
Every single time I have sex (only during sex), I bleed so much that the first time it happened, my partner and I was fearing one of us had seriously injured ourselves. The bleeding is not accommodated with any pain or discomfort.
Whenever I bleed, I get dizzy and then I have level 6-7 stomach pain for a few days with nausea.
No doctors will take me seriously because I am so young but I don't know how else to get advise when nobody will take me seriously.
20-years old.
Thank you to all who reply.

Hi,
Sounds awful! I don't have the typical symptoms associated with PCOS such as excess facial hair, hair loss, weight problem, increased testosterone. There are actually 2 types of PCOS 1. Insulin Reistant (the typical symptoms) 2. Non Insulin resistant (usually caused by some other issue such as inflammation). If you have had PCOS confirmed by scan then you definitely have at least 12 cysts on your ovaries, which is classed as polycystic.
However, your other symptoms could be endometriosis or Fibroids. This can only be diagnosed through a laproscopy, which is a surgery where they insert a camera through your belly button to look inside at your organs.
It is incredibly hard to get an answer. I'm 28, and first went to my GP at 16 with these symptoms. Diagnosed with PCOS at 19 and was put on the pill and that was it. Now I'm off the pill and looking to start a family soon I'm still trying to get to the bottom of my other symptoms as I also suspect I may have Endometriosis. I suggest you write all of this down and go see a GP or an OB/GYN and mention endometriosis.
Good luck with everything!

Hi Nicole,
Sorry to hear about your struggle. I'm pretty sure I was in grade9 when PCOS started showing up, I'm now 31. I had cramps that would make me throw up, anxiety attacks etc. I also have low B12 levels. When i was 29 I was on Metformin 850mg twice a day and i was sick! After a year or medicine my husband suggested that maybe that medicine was messing with my body trying to naturally heal itself. The medicine wasn't working! So i said screw it! Probably not the best thing to ignore your specialist but I listened to my body. I took 5 tablets to help bring on my cycle but still nothing. I stopped my metformin after failed promises of no more facial hair, etc I STILL struggle with it. I didnt have my cycle in over a year and after stopping my medicine i got my cycle! cycle from hell that lasted 2 weeks but Ive been regular to the day even hour I know Im getting it. It wasnt until my husband and I wanted to conceive until I was taken seriously and was referred to a specialist. Hang in there!
