About to begin taper from Lorazepam.

I have been taking 0.5 lorazepam twice daily for about 8 months. I'm starting to get interdose withdrawl and overall don't want to up my dose and would rather just get off of it completely. antidepressants don't work for me, my body reacts badly. I have purchased a scale and plan to start shaving tonight! my doctor has pushed me aside and suggested me to a psychiatrist but that could take a while she said. I have a full time job and 5 kids. I have to start my journey now. I will update as often as I can and positive vibes to all of you out there going through this journey! my goal is to stay headstrong.
