    Hi Allyson,

I kept a journey through my recovery and you should check it out.

Once i had the surgery, i never felt like i had a hot foot.

Obviously it was wrapped up, so of course it was pretty sweaty in the cast, if that's what you mean?

70 days seems early to be walking on it?

I had the surgery and was in the boot for 12 weeks ((84 days), then i was using a walking boot for 8-12 weeks (56 days minimum)

Once i came out of the walking boot i also had a limp and back pain because of it, I had weekly Physio provided by the NHS & i went to a private chiropractor & the rewards from them were fantastic, they helped with my back & gave me additional excessive to do.

Been 5 years now & i still get tendinitis, however i keep with the physio & exercises even today!

I strongly suggest to find a physiotherapist who can advise what exercises to do. How long were you in plaster and is the surgeon doing a follow up? Swelling is sometimes a sign of overdoing it so RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation) should help but if it's hot that might be something else so I would seek medical advice.
