Achilles looks ‘fat’ & hurts 8 months after op.

Hi,

I had a complete rupture of my Achilles heel in early October 2017 and had an operation a couple days after the rupture, to repair it.

However, I’m still getting pain after walking, and the Achilles looks really fat. I asked for an ultra sound, which I got, and the ultrasound person said it looks knitted together ok but that the Achilles looks twice the size it should be, and described it “as a mess”.

Anyone else experienced the same?

I’m due to go back for a general checkup in a couple of weeks so waiting to see what the surgeon has to say.
