achilles tendon surgery

My husband is having surgery on a ruptured Achilles tendon today. we are going on holidays on 11 may which is 3 weeks ago. would it be ok to fly and travel then.

    I’m having knee surgery on the 24th.  Instructions I got were not 2 fly 2 weeks before or after.  Not sure why.  Might have to do with blood circulation.  I just got back from Maui!  Lol

    He will probably still be in a boot and will need it elevated. I hade the same surgery 5 months ago and still having problems with swelling. My boot didn't come off until 8 weeks after surgery

    I’d say no as he will still be on fragmin (or similar) injections then to prevent blood clots and dvt will be a factor flying so soon after surgery.  Initial blood flow in the area is poor
