Achilles Tendon Surgery

Hi! I had Achilles Tendon Repair Surgery and spur removal approximately 6 weeks ago; 1st week - soft cast; thereafter - bandage over incision, gauze wrap, ace bandage, NWB and very little swelling. I can truthfully say until recently I had no pain whatsoever. This past Friday, my stitches were finally removed and i was placed in a night splint, to be worn during the day instead of night to lengthen the Achilles. The pain the first few days was horrible. Today, I had no pain. I am still NWB. Possibly in 3 weeks, I will be going to a boot if all goes as planned and can begin gradually weight bearing. Just wondering if anyone else was treated in this manner and how their recovery went?
