Achilles Tenex Scar

Posted , 1 user is following.

I am about 6 months post op from mid portion tendinopathy debridement via tenex procedure. I am mostly better than before, but the surgery left a raised nodule of scar tissue sticking out of my tendon. It can be quite sore some mornings, but I can run and do PT without many issues. It is a little frustrating that a surgery to remove painful scar tissue created painful scar tissue....at least it isn't as bad as before. I was told that the scar tissue can take up to 12 months to be pain free. Any truth to that?
