Achillies Rupture - Pain

I was wondering about different types and experiences of pain.

When I did my rupture it was awful and had gas/air, morphine etc. But by the following day, pretty much nothing. Had the occasional aches in different places and have taken the odd paracetamol/ibuprofen.

But i'm 4 weeks post injury now and am finding myself taking more pain relief. Is that other peoples experience as they heal? I get nasty aching feelings, with the occasional sharp nerve type pain.

It was painful changing my foot position at clinic - but more stiff than anything. Really stiff - couldn't even move it myself.

Same immediate bad pain when it went but hardly anything after. Its been the toes and foot bones that have been sore for me, especially walking down stairs. Nothing from the aAchilles area apart from occasional low level stabbing pains when it was elevated and stationary, but that went away. Now got bad lower back pain from weird walking stance!

I ruptured my achillies back in August, had immediate pain and brusing I was surprised how quickly the brusing came out, had lot of discomfort when in cast think mainly due to way my foot was in it , I also have back problems which were made worse by not being able to weight bare , problems started since cast been off, I found my toes where numb and 4 months on toes still numb so got MRI scan next week, I'm now walking with one crutch and still with a bad limp, and have managed to hobble round supermarket twice now rather than being in wheelchair, it's taken a lot of confidence to do that , it's been a long slow progress, physio says progress is slower because of my back pain etc

Same here with lower back pains. Found a yoga class for back pain and going to start that as soon as possible. Teacher said I could even do the chair stuff to start so I might go sooner than I'm allowed to exercise foot and leg.

Stabbing pains are weird. I wonder if they normal or a sign I'm doing too much.
